Tri-Hex Terrain Pieces
These are the 4 basic types of Terrain Tri-Hexes scheduled for the core game. We have also designed several more with hopes they can be Unlocked during the Kickstarter.
Each hex on the game map is 2″ from side to side. Each Tri-Hex Terrain piece is 3 hexes in size.
Each Tri-Hex counts as 2 hexes for purposes of movement and range.
Each hex and Tri-Hex has a stacking limit of 1 Valkyrie or 1 Vehicle. Up to 3 Infantry can be in a hex or Tri-Hex, and they can co-occupy with a Valkyrie or Vehicle.
Buildings (Core Game)
Building pieces are high priority objectives and must be placed in the central High Priority Sites on the game map.
Structures: A Force in Buildings cannot attack out of the Tri-Hex, or be attacked from outside the Tri-Hex. All combat with this Force must take place at range 0.
Operational Priority: Gain 5 Victory Points at the end of each turn if you occupy the Buildings.
Ridge Line (Core Game)
Ridge Line pieces can be placed on any of your Terrain Sites on the game map.
High Ground: A Force in a Ridge Line roll one extra Attack die when attacking a Force that is not in a Ridge Line.
Exposed: Due to its exposed position, a Force in a Ridge Line rolls 1 less Defense die.
Tree Line (Core Game)
Tree Line pieces can be placed on any of your Terrain Sites on the game map.
Concealment: A Force in a Tree Line rolls 1 extra Defense die.
Limited Field of Fire: A Force in a Tree Line rolls 1 less Defense die when attacked by a Force not in the same Tree Line.
Forward Base (Core Game)
You place the opposing player’s Forward Base piece. After all the other Terrain pieces are placed, you must place the Forward Base so that any of its 3 hexes are within 4 hexes of the opposing player’s back row.
Defense and Hits: The Forward Base rolls 4 Defense dice and has 5 Durability points.
Objective: You immediately win if you Destroy the enemy Forward Base.
Hard Target: You may only Attack a Forward Base from a range of 0 to 3.
Assault Teams: Your Infantry roll 3 extra Attack dice when Attacking the Forward Base at range 0.
Crater (To be Unlocked)
Crater pieces can be placed on any of your Terrain Sites on the game map.
Rim: A Force in a Crater gains the Spotter-10 Action (Once per turn, when your Forces Attack an enemy Force that is within 10 hexes of the Crater, your Force rolls 1 extra Attack die).
Broken Terrain: A Vehicle cannot enter a Crater hex.
